Today was held in the city of Querétaro the fifth Forum for the implementation of the 40-hour work week, organized by the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare, with the participation of federal and state authorities, representatives of the business, trade union and academic sectors.
In this important encounter, attorney Marisol Guerrero Contreras, partner of Sánchez y García, participated as a distinguished guest, sharing an expert vision from the legal-labor field, based on the experience of our firm in advising companies, institutions and key agents of the national productive environment.
During her speech, Marisol emphasized the need for a gradual and sectorially differentiated implementation, including pilot schemes that allow a constant evaluation of the reform’s impact. She also proposed labor flexibility mechanisms, such as the agreed distribution of the Work Schedule, the use of the bank of hours, and the revision of the rules applicable to overtime.
Likewise, she urged to review the IMSS contribution base salary scheme, particularly for the benefit of women who work reduced shifts, and emphasized the importance of accompanying the reform with training and digitalization programs, as well as with tax incentives that especially favor SMEs and MSMEs.
Ms. Guerrero’s participation represents Sánchez y García’s commitment to social justice issues in labor matters, actively contributing to the construction of a fairer, more flexible and sustainable legal framework for the country.
